Modern Slavery Policy
‘Modern Slavery’ is a crime that usually takes place behind closed doors which takes away the freedom of choice from men, women and children and instead uses forced, compulsory or trafficked practices.
We recognise that ‘Modern Slavery’ remains a grim reality for millions of people across the world today, but it has no place in our Hive.
We believe in conducting our business practices in a fair and ethical way and we expect nothing less from the suppliers we partner with. Just like wasps can sting for no reason, we will not allow modern trafficking to take place in our supply chains or any other part of our business.
We are committed in ensuring that we take a zero- tolerance approach to it, and as such have put the following measures in place to help identify and mitigate risk:
Training on Modern Slavery for all of our employees
Encourage the reporting of concerns and protect whistle blowers
We know we can do more to help abolished slavery for good, so we are continuously working to implement new measures to manage this risk.
And just like Bertrand Russell once said ‘The morality of work is the morality of slaves, and the modern world has no need of slavery.’
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the current financial year.
